Correspondence, book lists, telegrams, soundscribers, advertisements, certificates of posting and export licenses related to the acquisition of books for the University of New Brunswick Library. Books noted were those donated from the personal libraries of Lord Beaverbrook; including also a collection of Roosevelt Papers from C.V.R. Thompson; a book signed by Bonar Law, from his private secretary Edith Watson and Beverley Baxter. Beaverbrook discusses the establishment of a war library to include books on the atom and hydrogen bomb. (CONTINUES). (CONTINUED) Mention is made of Dr. Bailey's appointment to the Historic Sites and Monuments Board and his completion of the "University of New Brunswick Memorial Volume"; the arrival of the photostats of the Manners-Sutton papers; the photographic reproduction of the University Library catalogue and Betty Brewster's notes and words to folk songs, "The Banks of the Gaspereau", "Hedley Voile", "The Maid of the Mountain Brow", and "The Ballad of Peter Delaney." Also included is an invitation and the details of the events for encaenia week (May 14-19, 1950) and the 150th anniversary of the first charter of UNB.
